Update Notes 02/20/25 - Major Farming Rework | |
![]() ![]() |
Farming has been rewritten from the ground up. Farming still had some of the oldest code left on the server; code I wrote when I was still learning to program before the server was even released. It was well overdue for a rewrite
With the rewrite, many bugs have been fixed; animations are cleaner and Farming takes a significantly smaller load on the server’s resources.
With the new system, nothing was stopping me from adding ALL the farming patches. The new ones include Hops, Bushes, Calquat, Cactus, Mushrooms, Belladonna, and even Evil Turnip
Farming yield now works exactly like it did in real Runescape, using either the life system or a set yield
This does mean that the yield for some things like herbs is actually a bit lower than what you’re used to, but I’ve done a few things to compensate for that!
Trollheim herb patch and Jadinko Fruit tree patch
If you were unaware, the Super Donator Zone’s herb patch and Fruit tree patch were just these patches moved to a different location, which meant I couldn’t add them to their normal location
With the new system, I’ve implemented a way to update these patches dynamically, so I can add them back to their original locations, meaning there’s now an extra Herb and Fruit tree patch!
Ultracompost
Ultracompost is now craftable by adding Root pulp — made by grinding down tree roots — to supercompost buckets, or by adding ten to a compost bin filled with supercompost ingredients or supercompost. This saves you five root pulp
Higher tier tree roots offer more root pulp
Oak: 2
Willow: 3
Maple: 4
Yew: 5
Magic: 7
Spirit: 10
Bottomless Compost Bucket
The bottomless compost bucket can now be purchased from the Prestige Shop for 500 prestige points.
You can add compost, supercompost, or ultracompost to it
Each added bucket counts for two uses of the bottomless compost bucket
You are able to remove the buckets of compost again
The empty bottomless compost bucket can be traded to other players
You can fill up the bottomless compost bucket directly from a compost bin if the compost type matches
Farming command
You can now use the ::farming (::farm) command to teleport to various patches, rather than using the now rather cluttered skills dialogue
Typing ::farm (PatchType) will teleport you to the first of that patch type
Typing ::farm (PatchType) (IndexNumber) will teleport you to the location corresponding with the numbers in the skill dialogue (eg. ::farm herb 1 would take you to the Catherby herb patch)
Typing “::farm next” will teleport you to the next location of the last visited patch type
This means you can just simply type ::farm herb, then ::farm next until you’ve visited all the patches for your herb run
Timer notifications
You will now receive a message in your chat when your crops have finished growing
If you’re offline when they finish growing, you will receive the message when you log in
These can be toggled off for individual crop types in the ::settings panel, under “Timer Notification Settings”
When adding items to the custom loot beam settings, you can now specify if you want the loot beam to appear on noted and unnoted drops or just noted drops
Moved game-time titles into the Misc. Titles category and added titles up to 5 years of game-time
Added titles for dropping a total of 100b, 500b, and 1000b into the Well of Greed
Bork’s pet drop rate has been changed from 1/1000 to 1/600 (or 1/200, considering he rolls his drop table 3 times)
Bork will now spawn his legions as soon as his health drops below 66% rather than waiting for his next attack
Using a butler to make logs into planks at the sawmill will now apply the skill cape and master cape discounts
The Lava Flow Mine will no longer reset its position immediately if all players leave
If your group slayer task and personal slayer task are the same and your partner is not in the area, you will no longer receive the message that it won’t count towards your group task if it counts towards your personal task
Removed some incorrect drop tables for TzHaar-Mej and TzHaar-Xils that weren’t accessible
Managing Miscellania now requires 1500 total level for standard accounts. For skiller accounts it’s still 1000.
Leveling up many accounts for the purpose of abusing Managing Miscellania will now be considered as avoiding restrictions, and is therefore against the rules. Continuing to use accounts in this way will get the accounts disabled.
Fixed a situation where an UIM player could end up with two Ring of Kinships when retrieving their items from the Dungeoneering Tutor
Fixed a few instances where the Wizards’ tower was called the Wizard’s tower in some clue steps
When checking your exchanged impure essence amount at the Pure Energy Being, the amount is now properly formatted
Werewolves will no longer transform back to human before death when they’re being safespotted
Failed Common Jadinko traps will now properly force you to walk on top of them to reset them
Jogre bones will no longer say “You can’t wear that” when trying to burn them
The “Tropical Wagtail” option has been capitalized to match the other options in the hunter teleports dialogue
Fixed some Fire Giants in the Chaos tunnels that didn’t have their animations
Noted planks will now properly combine when converting noted logs at the sawmill operator
Fixed a typo when using the ::pets command
Cannons and other player-placed objects will no longer get copied to dynamic regions like instances
The Dark Energy Core spawned by the Corporeal beast now properly functions in an instance
You can now set up a cannon within a Corporeal beast instance
Fixed a null from the Giant Roc boss in Dominion Tower
Blood Reavers in a Nex instance are now properly aggressive
Juju potions will now leave empty Juju vials when finished
You can no longer summon familiars from inside the fight caves
